Manchester City have already had “initial conversations” about signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to the Daily Mail reporter Mike Keegan.
The journalist, who is usually very reliable when it comes to the Citizens, claims that those with “knowledge of the situation reckon” that Bellingham could be on the way to the Etihad:
Those with knowledge of the situation reckon Jude Bellingham ends up at Manchester City. Relations between both clubs very strong post-Haaland & told initial conversations have been held. A great World Cup may price him out this summer but he’s not seeing out his contract. #mcfc

City’s excellent relationship with Dortmund is likely to count for a lot but Bellingham’s price tag may also prove a decisive factor in who he ends up joining next summer.
Reports suggest that the 19-year-old could fetch as much as €150m (£132m), which may put off plenty of potential suitors. In addition to City, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea are said to be keen on the player.
If Bellingham’s valuation remains high then the number of interested parties could dwindle and, with City in a good place when it comes to Financial Fairplay, they could be the ones to take advantage.
