Juventus move for Samardzic might be too complicated to pull off in January

Juventus has expressed a strong desire to acquire Lazar Samardzic in the upcoming January transfer window, but the path to his signature is becoming increasingly challenging.

During the summer transfer window, Inter Milan had shown interest in Samardzic, and they had even reached an agreement with Udinese to add him to their squad. However, this deal fell through due to a failure to agree on personal terms.

This turn of events opened the door for Juventus to potentially secure his services, but the move never materialised. Nevertheless, the Bianconeri remain linked to the midfielder.

A report on Il Bianconero suggests that a January transfer is a possibility, but there are hurdles in determining the transfer terms. Juventus would prefer a loan move with an option to make the deal permanent, but Udinese is reluctant to part with such a key player and might request another player in exchange, with Hans Nicolussi Caviglia being mentioned as a potential option for the exchange.

Currently, both clubs are struggling to find common ground on the agreement, which could jeopardise Samardzic’s chance of making a move to Turin in January.

Juve FC Says

Samardzic has been one of the country’s top midfielders, and the Serbian will offer us good cover after the loss of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

But a move for him should only happen on our terms, and a loan-to-buy agreement is perfect.
