Kalvin Phillips could join Bayern Munich from Manchester City in January, according to Bild

The England international moved to Manchester City from Leeds United in 2022 for almost €50m. However, playing time has been at a minimum, with Pep Guardiola opting to play Rico Lewis (18) instead.

In fact, Phillips has only played 70 minutes of Premier League football this season.

As per the report, Bayern consider the 27-year-old a candidate for a potential transfer in the winter transfer window. Citing The I newspaper in England, Phillips is looking for a new challenge and could even leave the club on loan just to get more regular playing time.

However, Bayern may face competition from the likes of Newcastle United, who may attempt to sign the Englishman in January.

Phillips will require more playing time if he will be considered for England’s selection ahead of the Euros in Germany next summer.

Fellow England international Harry Kane could even persuade the midfielder to join him in Munich.
