Bild reports that Liverpool are showing a continued interest in Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho, and may look to complete a move this summer.

But there is a catch.

The aim would be to sign the Ecuador international this summer and then loan him back to Frankfurt for another season. This would mean Pacho can still continue to develop and receive game time without the worry for Liverpool that someone else may beat them to his signature or he becomes more expensive next summer.

Pacho’s contract at Frankfurt expires in 2028 and he is currently valued at €30m by transfermarkt. It has previously been reported that Frankfurt would let the 22-year-old leave for €50-60m in the summer despite only joining the team last summer.

Frankfurt are already preparing for a potential departure of Pacho and views 1.FC Köln’s Julien Chabot and PAOK’s Konstantinos Koulierakis as replacements.

In his first season in Germany, Pacho has played every Bundesliga game bar one as Frankfurt make a push for Europa League football once again.
