Erik ten Hag is confident that Manchester United can cope in ‘hostile environments’ ahead of challenging away games at Everton and Galatasaray.

United travel to face Everton in the Premier League this weekend, before a must-win trip to Turkey to take on Galatasaray in Istanbul.

The Red Devils are expected to face an intimidating atmosphere at both venues, with the Everton fanbase reeling from a 10-point deduction for breaching the Premier League’s financial sustainability rules, which has seen the Toffees drop into the relegation places.

Galatasaray, meanwhile, is regarded as one of the most daunting trips in European football in terms of atmosphere. Ten Hag, however, is confident his side can cope with the pressure.

“All games are very important, but our away record this season so far is very good,” he said in an interview with beIN SPORTS.

“We can take confidence and strong belief into those games.

“But [we need to] go from game to game, the first game is the most important – Everton – and we’re looking forward [to it]. You could see that this team has personality and character in hostile environments, like in Copenhagen.

“We deal with it. I feel quite comfortable [away from home].”
