Eintracht Frankfurt could make a ludicrous profit on French striker Randal Kolo Muani if Manchester United pay what would be a club-record fee.

Kolo Muani joined the German club from Nantes last summer on a free transfer and he has claimed 11 goals and 12 assists in the Bundesliga this season, while also being included in the France squad for the World Cup.

He has emerged as a target for Manchester United, who desperately need a striker this summer.

They have been persistently linked with Harry Kane but the cost of the Tottenham striker is likely to be prohibitive.

Victor Osimhen has also been mentioned as a target but the Nigerian striker is also a target for Chelsea and Manchester City,

Now German outlet Bild claim that Manchester United have become the ‘first top club to prepare an official mega offer’ with the number mentioned being a cool £105.71m.

This is a curious number because the report goes on to suggest that Eintracht Frankfurt would consider selling Kolo Muani for anything over £88m. Could they end up paying over the odds again like with Antony?

If you are curious about Kolo Mani’s playing style, France coach Didier Deschamps said of him: “Randal has many qualities. He has a presence about him, runs in behind from deep and is a good finisher.”

Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche went further, saying: “Randal Kolo Muani brings attributes that we need for our game. He’s fast, robust and a very good finisher.

“He’s also tactically versatile and can play in several different systems, which will give us even more flexibility next season. Randal’s potential has attracted the interest of many clubs. We’re very pleased that he wants to take his next steps at Eintracht Frankfurt.”

Lothar Mattheus picked him out as a major talent, saying: “For the Bundesliga, Kolo Muani is a major asset. He is impressive in his action, full of composure when facing the opposing goal, and often has the last word in duels. Where he impresses the most is that he shines in every game. This is the mark of future greats.”

You might wonder why he is not attracting interest from Bayern Munich? Well, according to SportBILD: ‘Bayern analysed Randal Kolo Muani internally and came to the conclusion that although he’s a good, quick player with a good ball control, he needs a lot of space to work with – which he wouldn’t get at Bayern against the deep defences the club regularly faces.’
