Milan have been drawn against Stade Rennais as they are set to take part in the Europa League.

The Rossoneri finished the Champions League Group Stage in 3rd place and therefore qualified for the Europa League play-offs, and the draw for the round took place today in Nyon, Switzerland.

Milan have been drawn against Stade Rennais who sit in 13th place in Ligue 1 and finished their Europa League Group in 2nd place, behind Villarreal.

This will be the first-ever meeting, in any competition, between Milan and Rennes. As an unseeded team, Milan will first play at home at San Siro, on February 15 at 21:00 CET, and then the second leg away on February 22 at 18:45 CET at Roazhon Park.

The Rososneri have four of the last eight meetings with French sides in the UEFA Cup/Europa League (1D, 3L), getting a draw in the most recent: 1-1 away to Lille in the 2020/21 Europa League group stages. Rennes have won only one of their six games against Italian opposition in European competitions (2D, 3L), and it came in their last meeting: 2-0 at home to Lazio in the 2019/20 Europa League.
