Bayern Munich have announced that they have completed the signing of winger Bryan Zaragoza from Granada earlier than intended.
Zaragoza was initially meant to join Bayern in the summer but due to the injury suffered by Kingsley Coman against Augsburg last weekend, Bayern tried to negotiate a way to bring the Spaniard to Munich early. The 22-year-old joins Bayern on loan until the summer before his Bayern contract from the original agreement comes into effect.
On his move to Bayern, Zaragoza said: “I’m moving to FC Bayern to grow here at one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’m very grateful to Granada for the great time we’ve had together and everything the club has made possible for me. I’ll never forget that. I also feel great support at FC Bayern now. I’m looking forward to what’s coming. We are aiming high.”
With injuries to the aforementioned Coman as well as Serge Gnabry, Bayern are running low on options on the wing and the early arrival of Zaragoza will help to alleviate some of the pressure as Bayern continue to chase Bayer Leverkusen.
Thr 22 year old will have the chance to make his debut for Bayern on Saturday as they host bogey team Borussia Mönchengladbach, who last weekend held Leverkusen to a draw.
Zaragoza is Bayern’s fourth transfer of the window after signing Eric Dier from Tottenham, Sacha Boey from Galatasaray and Jonah Kusi Asare from AIK in Sweden.
