Yunus Musah has officially joined the Rossoneri from Valencia.

The 8th signing of the Milan summer is here. After a long negotiation with Valencia, and a week long wait for all the bureaucratic stuff, Musah finally arrived in Milano last night to join the club.

Musah underwent all the necessary medical check-ups today and then went to Casa Milan to put pen to paper.

“Milan is pleased to announce the signing of Yunus Musah on a permanent basis. The midfielder has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2028,” a statement on the Diavolo website reads.

“Born in New York on 29 November 2002, Yunus came through the Arsenal academy before transferring to Valencia in 2019. For the Spaniards, he played one season with the B team before being promoted to the First Team. He made his debut in September 2020, eventually making 108 appearances with 5 goals. He has earned 27 appearances with the USA National Team, with whom he has won 2 CONCACAF Nations League titles. Musah will wear the number 80.”

Valencia initially wanted €25m for Musah but Milan managed to negotiate the price down and eventually struck a deal for €20m. After Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic, Tijjani Reijnders, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze, the US international arrives.

It will be interesting to see which position Stefano Pioli will play him at. Musah, who pushed very hard to join Milan this summer, can play in a two-man or three-man midfield.
