Tottenham superstar Harry Kane will reportedly refuse a new contract and is interested in a shock move to Bayern Munich if the clubs can strike a deal.

The 29-year-old is in the final year of his current deal and the German powerhouse have already had a bid worth $130m (aud) plus add-ons rejected.

According to The Times, Kane won’t push for an exit from Spurs but reportedly has no intention to remain in North London beyond this season despite a lucrative new contract offer worth significantly more than his current $570,000-per-week salary (AUD).

Tottenham boss Daniel Levy reportedly would consider an offer of $191m (AUD) in one-time payment to allow Kane to depart after joining the club in 2004.

The English star striker has previously been linked with a move to Manchester City and Paris St Germain among other clubs.

As it stands, Spurs have been left in a predicament with the club facing the genuine prospect of the valuable frontman leaving for free when his contract expires.

However, the funds generated from his sale could be used by new coach Ange Postecoglou to rebuild the squad after a disappointing campaign last year, finishing eight in the top flight.

Brazilian Richarlison would take up the striker slot in Kane was to leave the North London club but his departure could significantly hamper their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

If Tottenham secured European football, the funds generated could be worth north of $300m (AUD), meaning Spurs powerbrokers may opt to keep their talisman for this season.

Postecoglou made it clear that he plans to have Kane in his side ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.

“I certainly hope (he’s in the team),” Postecoglou said.

“It’s one of those things where, when you’re in this role, I’ve learnt that you’ve got to deal with the certainties that are before you.

“If you start thinking about what happens if that happens and that happens, there are too many things that can be floating in the air at any time [and] you lose focus on what’s the most important thing.

“The most important thing for me right now is to build a team that is going to be successful in the Premier League.

“If I wait to see what an outcome is before I start that process I’m going to lose valuable time.”
