With two minutes left to go in a scoreless tie, Colby Lopes took a feed from Keith Gillette and buried a corner kick for what would be the only goal of the game as Tiverton knocked off Cranston East. Tigers’ goaltender Benjamin Farley collected 11 saves to preserve the shutout. The Thunderbolts netminder Christian Gomez also was strong in net with 10 saves.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Lincoln 3, Rogers 0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-15)
Casey Weaver (10 kills and 4 aces) and Ameena Sarr (3 aces, 2 kills and 14 assists) led the way for Lincoln in its win over Rogers.
