Bild reports that VfB Stuttgart are only likely to pursue Brighton striker Deniz Undav if Sehrou Guirassy is to leave the club this summer.

Stuttgart and a range of other Bundesliga clubs are interested in Undav. The 27-year-old is the type of striker Stuttgart want and the German dreams of returning to Germany to play in the Bundesliga. Currently, Stuttgart will struggle to afford the wages of Undav unless a player leaves.

However, striker Guirassy has a release clause in his contract worth €15-20m, meaning if the 27-year-old leaves then Stuttgart can afford to accommodate Undav financially as well as from a sporting perspective.

It has previously been reported by Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri, that Stuttgart would be interested in loaning the 27-year-old from Brighton.

Undav has never played in the Bundesliga. The highest tier that the striker has played in is in the 3.Liga where he last played for SV Meppen. Undav left Germany in 2020 for Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium where he helped the team earn promotion to the Pro League before an unsuccessful push for the title in their first season back in the Belgian top flight.
