As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Yann Sommer to Inter is a done deal.
The Swiss international will join the Italian side from Bayern Munich for a fee of around €6m.
Sommer will arrive in Milan on Sunday to complete his move. The 34-year-old will become the club’s new number one, replacing André Onana, who recently joined Manchester United.
Sommer joined Bayern in January from Borussia Mönchengladbach for €9m. However, since his arrival in Bavaria, the 34-year-old has not performed to the same standard that he did at Gladbach.
It is reported that coach Thomas Tuchel will make Neuer the number one as soon as he returns from his injury, which contrasts the viewpoint of former coach Julian Nagelsmann who was open to the keepers competing for the number one spot.
This now opens the door for a new goalkeeper at Bayern. Manuel Neuer won’t be fit for the start of the new season. In recent weeks, both Brentford goalkeeper David Raya and Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili.
