Before the world of golf heads to Louisville, Kentucky, next week for the PGA Championship, the PGA Tour’s best — well, except Scottie Scheffler — are in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the sixth signature event of the season, the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club.
Rory McIlroy, the 2010, 2015 and 2021 champion, is the betting favorite at 13/2 (+650). He’s joined in the field by defending champion Wyndham Clark, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, Justin Thomas and Viktor Hovland, among others.
McIlroy won at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside Shane Lowry in his last start.
Quail Hollow Club is a par-71 track that measures 7,558 yards.
