Georgia Hall and Charley Hull have been selected to represent Great Britain in the women’s golf competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Hull featured at the 2016 edition in Rio de Janeiro, finishing in a tie for seventh, while Hall will make her debut at the Games.

World number eight Hull, 28, made history when she became the youngest player to compete in the Solheim Cup, aged 17 in 2013.

Hall, also 28, enjoyed the biggest moment of her individual career in 2018 when she became a major champion after winning the Women’s British Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

Team GB chef de mission Mark England said: “Whilst Georgia is set to make her Olympic Games debut in Paris this summer, she is no stranger to Team GB. Back in 2013 not only did she win two gold medals at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival, but she was also our flag bearer at the opening ceremony.

“It is also great to have Charley back in the team for a second Olympic Games.”

Hall and Hull will join men’s pair Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick for the event at Le Golf National.

Olympic golf consists of 72-hole individual stroke play for both women and men.
