Red Bull Showrun Minneapolis is a free event that gives fans a chance to witness a Formula One car up close and personal in a demonstration of the car’s speed and power on our city’s streets. A Red Bull Showrun is not a race but an unforgettable experience where the spectators’ hearts will go nearly as fast as the F1 car on display.
More than 50,000 enthusiastic fans flooded Commons Park and the surrounding streets, bringing downtown Minneapolis to a standstill for the exhilarating Red Bull Showrun presented by Ford on Saturday afternoon.
The event featured an electrifying performance by former F1 driver David Coulthard, who commanded attention in the iconic RB7 F1 car. Coulthard thrilled the crowd with impressive 360-degree spins and dramatic burnouts, turning the usually busy thoroughfare into a high-octane spectacle. The audience’s gasps and cheers added to the excitement of the event.
In a breathtaking highlight, Levi LaVallee, recently inducted into the Snowmobile Hall of Fame, left the audience in awe with an unprecedented stunt. LaVallee soared his snowmobile over the RB7 F1 car as it performed doughnuts at the intersection of Portland Ave. and 4th St., creating a moment of pure astonishment.
The two-hour extravaganza also showcased a range of high-performance vehicles and talents, including our very own Andrew Carlson, a celebrated local figure, who displayed his Pro4 Truck. This local talent, along with the international stars, made the event a true celebration of skill and performance.
