The player from Navarra prevailed in the last edition, beating the Swedish Maja Stark by four strokes and the Thai Atthaya Thitikul, winner of the Race to Costa del Sol, by five. “I am very excited to be able to defend the title that I won last year at the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open in Spain and to play again in Spain in this final stretch of the season,” says Ciganda.

With that victory achieved last year at Los Naranjos Golf Club, Carlota achieved the only tournament she had yet to win in our country and if she were to revalidate her title, she would also complete this season by winning her two tests played in Spain, since she won last July at the Estrella Damm Ladies Open presented by Catalunya held at the Terramar Golf Club.

Ciganda is currently the best placed Spaniard in the world ranking, and in this season that is about to end, in addition to achieving victory in Sitges, she has equaled her best position in a Grand Slam tournament by finishing third in the Evian Championship.
