The US Open kicks off next week as the world’s best players head to New York for the final Grand Slam of the year.
Novak Djokovic, fresh from his Olympic gold medal win, and Coco Gauff as the defending men’s and women’s singles champions, but neither are favourites to retain their crowns.

When is the 2024 US Open?
Two weeks of tennis at Flushing Meadows begins on Monday, August 26, 2024 and runs through to Sunday, September 8, 2024.
The action gets underway each day at 4pm BST and runs well into the early hours overnight. Evening games will begin at midnight UK time.
The women’s singles final is on Saturday, September 7 at 9pm BST. The men’s singles final is the following day, also at 9pm BST.

When is the 2024 US Open draw?
The singles draw takes place on Thursday, August 22, 2024. UK fans will learn the draw from 5pm BST.
Which British players are competing?
This is the first Grand Slam since Andy Murray’s retirement, and British no2 Cameron Norrie has been ruled out through injury.
That leaves Jack Draper as the highest-ranked player in the draw, joining Murray’s Olympics doubles partner Dan Evans also in the singles draw.
For the women’s draw, British no1 Katie Boulter will be joined by former US Open champion Emma Raducanu and Harriet Dart. Heather Watson and Sonay Kartal hope to come through qualifying.
